
ABOUT DR. LEONETTE
Dr. James Leonette is an award-winning Chiropractor and the Clinic Director of Enliven Wellness in Bridgeport, WV. A native of Bridgeport, Dr. Leonette is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. During his chiropractic program, he graduated with honors, served as President of the Student Council, and was a member of the Institutional Review Board, which protects human subjects in clinical studies throughout the U.S.
Dr. Leonette has completed extensive post-graduate education and holds the following distinctions:

He is currently a Carrick Scholar in Functional Neurology and a board-eligible candidate for a diplomate in clinical nutrition.
In addition to his chiropractic qualifications, Dr. Leonette holds an M.S. in Industrial Hygiene and a B.S. in Medical Technology from West Virginia University. He founded Enliven Occupational Health, which assesses the health of workers at manufacturing facilities and extraction businesses. Enliven Occupational Health provides the region with employee physicals, respirator fit testing, and functional capacity exams. Dr. Leonette is also a Certified Medical Examiner (CME), qualified to perform USDOT driver medical exams.
His training includes upper cervical chiropractic at Palmer College and an internship in Advanced Orthogonal at the Pierce Clinic in St. Petersburg, FL. He further honed his skills by studying under a chiropractor, acupuncturist, and functional medicine practitioner in northern Virginia before returning to Bridgeport to open Enliven Chiropractic & Wellness in 2012. Before pursuing a career in healthcare, Dr. Leonette served as a federal investigator with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, where he was responsible for inspecting medical device manufacturing facilities across Europe and Asia to ensure compliance with FDA Quality System Requirements.
Dr. Leonette is a member of the WV Chiropractic Society, the Interdisciplinary Association of Functional Neurosciences and Rehabilitation, and the International Chiropractic Association. He was honored as Chiropractor of the Year in 2017 and 2018 by The Masters Circle. His commitment to global health includes serving as a chiropractic missionary in Vietnam and the Dominican Republic.
Dr. Leonette is certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE) in chiropractic and physiotherapy and is currently licensed as a chiropractic physician and acupuncturist in West Virginia, Virginia, and Ohio. As a published author and frequent speaker, he regularly shares his expertise with organizations and provides private health coaching to individuals.
